The institute was established in the year 2009 under the banner of CMS Educational and Charitable Trust. CMSCET is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The CMSCET has a total land area of about 27 acres.
CMS College of Engineering and Technology courses are offered at both UG and PG levels. All of these courses are available in Engineering & Technology streams. The UG courses offered by CMSCET include ME, CSE, ECE, AI & Data Science, IT, Civil Engineering, EE, etc. While the PG courses offered by CMSCET include M.E. Computer Science and Engineering and M.E. Embedded Systems Technologies. All of these courses are available in regular mode only.
CMS College of Engineering and Technology admission to UG courses is done on the basis of TNEA. While admission to PG courses are done on the basis of GATE scores. The seats for admission to CMSCET are allocated through the respective counselling process.
